The inputs
The system has two auxiliary inputs. These inputs are labeled AUX
IN 1 and AUX IN 2 at the back of the CPU5500 central unit. The
two inputs are both XLR-3F connectors.
The same setting possibilities apply as for the output channels.
Remark : when a signal needs to be inserted on the floor channel,
inserting has to be done on CH60 , not CH00 !!
Distance Conferencing (N-1)
Two separate conference rooms can have a conference with each
other. Therefore the option N-1 needs to be activated. This can be
done by using the Preset N-1 option. This will set the central unit in
the correct configuration. (see also p41);
When using this N-1 preset , external floor is added to
XLR Aux 1 In - ch51 - mixed
XLR Aux 2 In - ch60 - mixed
Local floor is extracted via XLR Aux 1 out ch51
PS : all signals added to ch60 (XLR Aux In 2) will be part of the
local floor , so also present on Aux Out 1 !
External Equalizer
To avoid disturbing feedback or to equalize the audio signals it is
possible to interconnect external equipment to the central unit.
When such external equipment is used, the Aux Out 1 has to be set
to channel "60" and "OnTIS", while the Aux In 1 needs to be set
to channel "60" and "OVERWRITE". When set so the audio floor
channel will use channel 60 to go to the external equalizer, and will
be reinserted on AUX IN 1 and will be used as the new floor
channel. This way it is possible to use external audio equipment
like equalizers or feedback destroyers. The schematic picture below
summarizes this feature.
Preset configuration
When a certain configuration of audio parameters needs to be
saved, you can use the Preset menu option.
First select the option "Select Preset" to choose a configuration.
Then make your adjustments to the Input/Output settings
Use the "Save Preset" to save the changed settings.
