Interface units
No microphones connected on the interface
Simply change the interface unit by a new one. Nothing else needs
to be done.
Microphones connected on the interface
With operation PC
Manual replacement:
Change the interface unit. It is not necessary to shut down the
CPU5500. Connect the microphones to the new interface unit
BEFORE you connect the interface INT5500 back in to the
network.. Choose ‘Room’ in the configuration menu of the TMS
software and open the earlier made room configuration and choose
in the tab menu ‘Init’ for ‘Open Init’. The system asks if you want
to open the initialization. Press ‘Yes’. Now delete the microphones
that are connected to the new interface. This can be done by
choosing the delete option and clicking the microphones in the
window. Another possibility is to enter the microphone number in
the field under the ‘Delete-Reserve’ button. The deleted
microphones connected to the new interface start blinking. Now,
push off the microphones in the correct order, first the microphone
on input 1, then the one on input 2, 3 and 4. Then click on ‘End
Init’.
Automatic replacement:
Replace the defective INT5500 by a new one and run diagnostic
log mode 9 in the TMS software: Start Synoptic Test
Diagnostics. Check if the replacement was successful. Please note
to run log mode 9 after you made the replacement.
Interpreter desk
Take away the defective interpreter desk and place the new one
instead. The display on the new interpreter desk show the message:
Init refused. Open the right room configuration in the TIS-
software: press he button ‘Desk Init’. Choose ‘Add Unit’ to add the
new interpreter desk in the TIS system. The new interpreter desk
starts blinking. Fill in the same booth and desk number (as on the
removed interpreter desk) on the new interpreter and push off the
interpreter desk. Press the ‘Stop Init’ to stop the process.
