Overview
The TCS5500 Digital Conference & Interpretation System supports
a messenger control panel. The messenger panel enables the
conference manager to answer a request initiated by a delegate. To
use the messenger panel a ‘messenger button’ has to be provided
on the microphone panel.
If a ‘messenger button’ was pushed on a unit, a message will
appear on the message control panel which identifies the originator.
Now, the conference operator can activate and deactivate the
microphone that put the request using the ack’ respectively ‘clear’
button on the messenger panel.

The messenger panel must be connected to the CPU5500 central
unit through a RS232 connection. The appropriate port to use on
the CPU5500 central unit is COM1 or COM2. The choice of port
and baud rate can only be done through the operational control
suite software (CONFSYS).
