To improve cutting quality, adjust the output current to match the workpiece thickness. Inspect and replace any defective consumables in the cutting torch. Adjust the output current and cutting torch speed relative to the workpiece thickness, and verify the standoff distance. Also, ensure good contact between the work lead clamp and the workpiece by removing any contamination or oxidation and attaching the clamp for maximum electrical conduction.
