Large Truck Unit Centrifugal
Clutch Change (P/N 104-272)
Beginning in the second quarter of 1997 most
large truck units are equipped with centrifugal
clutch P/N 104-272, which supersedes P/N
104-257. Centrifugal clutch P/N 104-272 has
three belt grooves and its engagement speed is
600 ± 100 RPM. When this clutch is installed on a
unit equipped with a two groove belt, the belt
should be placed in the two grooves nearest to the
clutch hub.
