2.19 CP gain
ITC500 / page 51
2.19 CP gain
With this potentiometer the speed of the regulation loop in constant power mode can
be adapted to the setup.
This potentiometer will usually be in a 7 o'clock position for standard speed.
If the speed is too high and overshoots occur, please turn the potentiometer
clockwise to achieve a slower settling time.
If you want to have a faster settling time, please turn the potentiometer
counterclockwise.
Nevertheless the settling time also depends on the set power.
2.20 BNC connector TEMP OUT
An analog output TEMP OUT is provided at the rear of the ITC5xx. Here a voltage
proportional to the actual temperature "TACT" is applied for monitoring purposes, e.g.
to supervise the settling behavior of the temperature control loop.
voltage range sensor
0 ... 10 V 0 ... 20 k thermistor
0 ... 10 V 0 ... 200 k thermistor
-2.5 V ... +7.5 V -45 °C ... +145 °C AD590, LM335
External devices to supervise the operation may be connected to this output, e.g. to
see if certain temperature limits of the device under test are exceeded.
The output TEMP OUT operates against ground. Thus an oscilloscope or a strip
chart recorder can be connected directly. Devices connected to these outputs should
have an internal resistance of 10 k.
