Verifying the Main Antenna

• If the Rover Eastings are larger, the position of the machine
needs to move East (increase) (Table 4-3 on page 4-13).
• If the 3DMC Easting are larger, the position of the machine
needs to move West (decrease).
To move the machine’s position east, simply increase the Main
antenna distance-to-boom center value in 3DMC using the following
steps. Do not physically move the antenna.
1. In 3DMC, navigate to the Excavator Antenna Mounting screen in
the machine builder. Increase the Main antenna-to-boom center
by 0.03 Ft.
Figure 4-10. “Rotate” Machine
2. Repeat step 1 on page 4-12 to step 6 on page 4-12 to verify the
correction. There should be no difference between the 3DMC
easting and the Rover easting.
Table 4-3. Error in Length Measurement
Curled In Extended Difference
3DMC Easting 520.35 520.48 0.03
Rover Easting 520.38 520.51 0.03
If the lines are not parallel, see “Verifying Aux
Antenna to Boom Length” on page 4-7.
