1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,
andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.Disconnectthebatterypack;refer

drivehousingtothecuttingunitsideplate.
Note:The2hexnuts(item24inFigure25)haveadhesiveappliedduring
cuttingunitproduction.Thenutsmustremainincuttingunitsideplateduring
thereeldrivehousingremoval.
6.Removethe2ange-headscrews(item20inFigure25)thatsecurethereel
drivehousingtothecuttingunitsideplate.
7.Removethereeldriveassemblyfromthecuttingunit.
8.Removethecomponentsfromthereeldrivehousingasnecessary(Figure
25).
9.Iftheidlershaftballbearings(item8inFigure25)aretoberemoved,usea
presstoremovethebearingsandthebearingspacerfromtheshaft.Discard
thebearingsafterremoval.
