orientatedtowardthecenterofthedrum.Pressthesealintothedrumbore
sothatthesealisrecessedfrom12.0to13.4mm(0.470to0.530inch)
fromedgeofthedrum(Figure35).
9.Placethesquarekeyintotheslotofthedrumshaft.Applyanti-seizelubricant
tothetopsurfaceofthekey.
10.Aligntheslotinthelefttractiondrumwiththekeyonthedrumshaftand
carefullyslidethetractiondrumontotheshaft,ensurethatyoudonot
damagethegreasesealinthedrum.
11.Insertabarstockorothersuitabletoolthroughthespokesofthelefttraction
drumtokeepthedrumfromturning.
12.Ensurethattheballbearing(item19inFigure33)ispressedontothe
bearingnut.Whileretainingtheleftdrum,securethedrumtothetraction
drumassemblywithabearingnut.T orquethebearingnutto102to122
N∙m(75to90ft-lb).
13.Securetheleftsideplatetothemachine(Figure34)asfollows:
A.Slidetheleftsideplateontothesupportingbearing.
B.Securetheleftsideplatetotheframewiththe3ange-headscrews
and3hardenedwashers.
C.Securetheleftsideplatetotherearframewiththecarriagescrew,
hardenedwasher,andangenut.
