RemovingtheTransmissionDriveBelt
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,
andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.Disconnectthebatterypack;refer
toConnectingtheLithiumBatteryPack(page4–3).
2.Removethebatterypackfromthemachine;refertoRemovingtheLithium
BatteryPack(page5–74).
3.Usethetipsofneedlenoseplierstospreadtheendsofthedriveshaftwire
(item6inFigure43)inthetelescopingcoupler.Withthewireendsspread,
slidethecouplerfromthetransmissionshaft.
IMPORTANT
Duringdisassembly,ensurethattensionisreleasedfromthe
transmissionbeltbeforeremovingthetransmissioncover.
4.Rotatetheengage/disengageshaftclockwisetoremovetensiononthe
transmissionbelt;refertoTransmissionBeltT ensioner(page4–5).
5.Removethe7washer-headscrews(item3inFigure43)thatsecurethe
transmissioncovertothetransmission.Carefullyremovethecoverfromthe
transmission.Removeanddiscardthegasket.
6.Ensurethatthewavewashers(item2inFigure43)remaininthebearing
boresofthetransmissioncover.
