reachingtheliftvalvesothatthesteeringcircuithaspriority.Steeringcircuit
pressureislimitedto5,515kPa(800psi)bytheimplementreliefvalvelocatedin
thetransmission.
Whenthesteeringwheelisnotbeingturnedandtheengineisrunning
(transmissioninputshaftbeingrotated),chargepumpowentersthesteering
controlvalveatthePportandby-passestherotarymeterandsteeringcylinder.
FlowleavesthesteeringcontrolvalvethroughtheEportandisdirectedtothe
liftcontrolvalve.
LeftTurn
Whenaleftturnismadewiththeenginerunning,theturningofthesteering
wheelpositionsthesteeringcontrolspoolvalvesothatowgoesthroughthe
bottomofthespool.FlowenteringthesteeringcontrolvalveatthePportpasses
throughtherotarymeterandisdirectedouttheLport.Pressureretractsthe
steeringcylinderforaleftturn.Therotarymeterensuresthattheuidowtothe
cylinderisproportionaltotheamountoftheturningonthesteeringwheel.Fluid
leavingthesteeringcylinderowsbackthroughthespoolvalve,thenouttheT
portandreturnstothehydraulicreservoir(frontaxle).
