Thehightemperatureshutdownswitch(Figure154orFigure155)isattached
tothewaterpumphousingontheengineandhasablue/whitewireattachedto
it.Thisswitchisnormallyopenandcloseswhenenginecoolanttemperature
reachesapproximately115°C(240°F).Theclosedswitchprovidesaninputto
theStandardControlModule(SCM).
ThisinputcausestheSCMhightemperatureshutdownLEDtoilluminateand
thecuttingdecktoshutdown.Thehightemperatureshutdownswitchand
circuitwiringshouldbetestedasaSCMinputbeforeperformingthefollowing
testingprocedure.
TestingtheHighTemperatureShutdownSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Unlatchthehoodandraiseit.
