PrimingtheHydraulicPump
Whenthehydraulicsystemisushed,thehydraulicsystemischarged,orthe
hydrauliccomponentsareinstalled,itisimportanttoproperlyprimethehydraulic
pumps.Thehydraulicpumpprimingensuresthatthehydraulicpumphave
sufcientuidduringinitialstart-upandrunning.Thepumpcanbeprimedby
usingaremotestarterswitch(refertoRemoteStarterSwitch(page5–43))to
cranktheenginewhichallowsthepumptoprime.
Usethefollowingproceduretoprimethehydraulicpump:
1.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFpositionandthekeyisremoved
fromthekeyswitch.
2.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoir(frontaxle)andadd
correctquantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.

77).Itisnotnecessarytoremovethisbluewirefromthesolenoidterminal
forhydraulicpumppriming.
3.Connecttheremotestarterswitchelectricalleadstothestartermotor
solenoidB+terminalandpositivepostofthebattery.
4.Engagetheremotestarterswitchandcrankthestarterfor30secondsto
primethehydraulicpump.Waitfor30secondstoallowthestartermotorand
startersolenoidtocool.Repeatthecrankingprocedureforthesecondtime.
5.Disconnecttheremotestarterswitchleadsfromthestartermotorsolenoid
terminalandpositivepostofthebattery.
