RemovingtheRearAxle
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck(orimplement),
shutofftheengine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthe
keyswitch.
Note:Forassemblypurposes,tagthehydraulichosestoshowtheircorrect
positiononthesteeringcylinder.
2.Disconnectthehydraulichosesfromthesteeringcylinder.Installcleancaps
orplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstopreventsystemcontamination.
3.Removethelocknut(item9inFigure181)thatsecurestheendoftheaxle
pivotpintotherearframe.
4.Raisethemachine(justaheadoftherearwheels)untilpressureistaken
offtheaxlepivotpin.Supportthemachinewithjackstandstopreventit
fromfalling.
5.Removethelocknut(item4inFigure181),bolt,andatwasherthatsecure
thepivotpintotherearframe.
