1.Removetheinputshaft/piniongearassemblyfromtheaxlesupport,and
removetheshimsandbearingcaseO-ring.
2.Releasethestakewasherandremovethelocknut.Removeanddiscard
thestakewasher.
3.Drivetheinputshaft/piniongearoutfromtheouterbearingconeandbearing
case.RemoveanddiscardtheoilsealandO-ring.
4.Inspectallgears,shafts,bearings,spacers,andcasesfordamageandwear.
Replacethecomponentsasnecessary.
Note:Replacementinputshaft/piniongearsareonlyavailableinmatched
ringandpinionsets.
InstallingtheInputShaft/PinionGear(4-WheelDriveAxle)
Note:Wheninstallingnewbearingcones,pressonlyontheinnerraceofthe
bearingcone.
