RemovingtheEngine
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck(orimplement),
shutofftheengine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthe
keyswitch.
2.Unlatchthehoodandraiseit.
3.Disconnectboththebatterycablesatthebattery.Disconnectthenegative
batterycableandthenthepositivebatterycable.
4.Removethebatteryfromthemachine;refertoServicingtheBattery(page
6–80).
5.Removethe3bolts(item12inFigure28)and3angenutsthatsecurethe
batterybasetothebrackets,andremovethebatterybasefromthemachine.
DANGER
Iftheradiatororengineishot,pressurizedhotcoolantcanescape
andcauseburns.
Donotopentheradiatorcapordrainthecoolantwhentheradiator
orengineishot.
WARNING
Ethylene-glycolantifreezeispoisonous.
Keepthecoolantawayfromchildrenandpets.
Keepthecoolantinalabelledcontainer.
Discardthecoolantinaccordancewithlocalhazardouswaste
ordinances.
6.Drainthecoolantfromtheradiator;refertotheOperator’sManual.
