6.Carefullylowertheenginetothemachineframe.Ensurethatthefastener
holesoftheenginebracketsarealignedwiththeholesintheupperandlower
engineshockmounts(items2and19inFigure28).
7.Securetheenginetotheenginemountbrackets(item16inFigure28).
8.Installtheclevispinandcotterpintosecurethehoodcabletothemufer
mount.
9.Installthehydraulicpump/transmissiondriveshaft;refertoInstallingthe
HydraulicPumpDriveshaft(page5–98)orInstallingtheTransmission
Driveshaft(page5–89).
10.Connectallthewireharnessconnectorstothefollowingenginecomponents:
A.Alternatorconnectorandstud.
B.Oilpressureswitchlocatedneartheengineoillter.
C.Connector,fusiblelinkconnector,andpositivebatterycabletothestarter
motor.
D.Hightemperatureshutdownswitchandtemperaturesenderlocatedon
thewaterpumphousing.
E.Fuelstopsolenoidontheinjectorpump.
F.Negativebatterycabletotheinjectorpump.
G.Glowplugstrip.
H.PTOclutchwireconnector.
11.Usethenotesthatyourecordedduringremoval,securethewireswithcable
tiesinproperlocations.
12.Removeallofthecoversandplugsfromthehosesandengineopeningsthat
youplacedwhileremovingtheengine.Connectthehosestotheengineas
follows:
A.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringremovaltocorrectlyconnectthe
fuelsupplyandreturnhosestotheinjectorpumpttings(Figure31).
Securethefuelhoseswiththehoseclamps.
B.Connecttheupperandlowerradiatorhoses(items9and11inFigure29)
totheengine.Securetheradiatorhoseswiththehoseclamps.
13.Connectthethrottlecabletotheinjectorpumpasfollows(Figure30):
A.Routethethrottlecabletotheinjectorpumpontheengine.
B.Installthethrottlecableendintothelowestholeontheinjectorpump
controlarm.Securethecableendwitharetainingring.
C.Positionthecableunderthecableclamp.
D.Adjustthethrottlecontrol;refertoAdjustingtheThrottleControl(page
4–6).
