IMPORTANT
Makesurethattheoilowindicatorarrowontheowgaugeis
showingthattheoilwillowfromthemanifold,throughthetester
andintothedisconnectedhydraulichose.
4.Install40GPMtester(owandpressure)inseriesbetweenthedeckmanifold
portM1andthedisconnectedhose.Makesuretheowcontrolvalveon
testerisfullyopen.
CAUTION
Cuttingdeckbladeswillrotatewhencuttingdecksareloweredwith
PTOswitchinONposition.Keepawayfromcuttingdecksduring
testtopreventpersonalinjuryfromrotatingblades.Donotstand
infrontofthemachine.
5.Afterinstallinghydraulictester,startengineandrunatlowidlespeed.Check
forhydraulicleakageattesterconnectionsandcorrectbeforeproceeding
withtest.
6.Increaseenginespeedtohighidlespeed(2530RPM).Releasetheparking
brakeandengagethecuttingdecks.
7.Watchtesterpressuregaugecarefullywhileslowlyclosingthetesterow
controlvalvetofullyclosed.
8.Asthecuttingdeckcircuitreliefvalvelifts,systempressureshouldbe
approximately:
203to224bar(2950to3250PSI)forthecenterandleftdecks.
127to148bar(1850to2150PSI)fortherightdeck.
9.Afteridentifyingreliefvalvepressure,fullyopentesterowcontrolvalve,
disengagecuttingdecksanddecreaseenginespeedtolowidle.Shutoff
engineandrecordtestresults.
10.Ifreliefpressureisincorrect,removePRVvalveondeckmanifoldandclean
orreplacevalve(seeTractionControlManifoldService(page5–112)).After
PRVvalveservice,performreliefpressuretestagainandifpressureis
stilllow,checkforrestrictioningearpumpinletline.Therstgearpump
section(forfrontdeckcircuit)and/orthesecondgearpumpsection(forside
deckcircuits)couldalsobesuspectedofwear,damageorinefciency(see
ProcedureforGearPumpFlowTest(page5–68)).
11.Whenreliefpressuretestingiscomplete,disconnecttesterfromdeck
manifoldttingandhydraulichose.Reconnecthydraulichosethatwas
disconnectedfortestprocedure.
12.Repeattestforothercuttingdeckcircuitsifnecessary.
13.Whentestingiscomplete,makesurethatthehydraulictankisfullbefore
returningmachinetooperation.
