Chargethebatteryinawell−ventilatedplacetodissipategases
producedfromcharging.Thesegasesareexplosive;keepopen
ameandelectricalsparkawayfromthebattery.Donotsmoke.
Nauseamayresultifthegasesareinhaled.Unplugthechargerfrom
theelectricaloutletbeforeconnectingordisconnectingthecharger
leadsfromthebatteryposts.
4.Followingthebatterychargermanufacturer’sinstructions,connectthe
chargercablestothebattery.Makesureagoodconnectionismade.
5.Chargethebatteryfollowingthebatterychargermanufacturer’sinstructions.
6.Occasionallycheckthetemperatureofthebattery.Ifthetemperature
exceeds52ºC(125ºF)ortheelectrolyteisviolentlygassingorventing,the
chargingratemustbeloweredortemporarilystopped.
