15.5 Disassembly and Replacement
[A] Image quality sensor (S17) / Image quality sensor shutter solenoid (SOL1)
(1) Take off the fuser unit ( P.16-19 "[A] Fuser
unit").
(2) Take off the process unit ( P. 11 - 1 0 " [ B ]
Process unit").
(3) Release the harness from the harness clamp
and disconnect 2 connectors.
(4) Remove 2 screws and take off the image
quality sensor holder.
Note:
Insert prongs of sensor holder to the hole of
the plate securely when installing.

(5) Disconnect 1 connector and remove 2
screws and then take off the image quality
sensor.

(6) Remove 2 screws and take off the image
quality sensor shutter solenoid.
