9.2.5 Procedures and settings when replacing the SLG board
Be sure to follow the procedure below when the SLG board is replaced.
(1) Confirm that the power is turned OFF.
(2) Replace the SLG board.
(3) Update the scanner ROM using the USB Media.
(4) Start up with the Adjustment Mode (05).
(5) Enter the password, and then press the [OK].
(If the password is not set for Service, press the [OK] button without entering anything.)
(6) Perform "Data transfer of characteristic value of scanner / SYS board -> SLG board (05-3209)”.
(7) Perform “Shading correction plate Automatic dust detection adjustment (05-3218)”.
(8) Turn the power OFF.
(9) Start up with the Setting Mode (08).
(10) Enter the password, and then press the [OK].
(If the password is not set for Service, press the [OK] button without entering anything.)
(11) Check the version of the scanner ROM (08-9902).
(12) Turn the power OFF.
