• 10‑minute minimum wind speed and wind direction
• 2‑minute average wind speed and wind direction
• 10‑minute maximum wind speed and wind direction
5.5.4.1 Wind speed details
• Displayed without the preceding zero, for example, 8.
• Unit is knots, meters per second, or kilometers per hour.
• Rounded to the nearest integer.
• CALM wind speed is indicated as CALM when wind speed is less than 1 knot.
5.5.4.2 Wind speed alerts
• If the wind speed exceeds the defined warning limit, the box around the data value is
orange.
• If the wind speed exceeds the defined alarm limit, the box around the data value is red.
5.5.4.3 Wind direction details
• String format is ddd, that is, with the preceding zero, for example, 050.
• Rounded to the nearest 10 degrees.
• If 2‑-minute average wind speed is CALM, the 2‑minute average wind direction is not
displayed.
• 10‑minute minimum and maximum wind direction are always displayed even if wind
speed is CALM for 10 minutes.
• Values are displayed in magnetic north direction.
For correct functioning of the wind direction data, the wind sensor alignment and station
declination must have been configured correctly.
5.5.4.4 Headwind/Tailwind/Crosswind
• 2-minute headwind or tailwind speed (T = Tailwind, H = Headwind)
• 2-minute cross-wind speed (R = Crosswind from right, L = Crosswind from left)
• String format is Hff, that is, with the preceding zero, for example, H08.
• Unit is knots.
• Rounded to the nearest integer.
• The values are calculated according to the runway direction setting.
5.5.4.5 Wind rose
The wind rose displays the following data:
• Arrow indicates 3‑second average wind direction. In the event of CALM wind, the wind
direction arrow is not displayed.
• Colored pegs on the circle perimeter indicate the 2‑minute (green, MET page only) and
10‑minute (blue) wind direction variation, in tens of degrees.
• Values in the middle of the wind rose indicate 3‑second average wind direction and
speed.
• Wind speed unit is knots, meters per second, or kilometers per hour.
• Runway graphic indicates the runway direction.
