EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL

1. Remove the engine cowling. (12-4)
2. Remove the muffler attachment springs (8) and muffler. Note: To avoid nicking
the springs clamp a short loop of safety wire in locking pliers. Hook the loop onto
the spring and then pull to remove the spring.
3. Remove the two nuts, two washers and the exhaust tube from each cylinder
exhaust port.
INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the ball joints and all exhaust hardware. (14-4)
2. Installation procedure is reverse of the removal procedure.
