NOTE: This maintenance manual is intended to be used in conjunction with the
RV-12 Kit Assembly Instructions (KAI) when completing maintenance or repair
processes.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION
The minimum certification for completing a repair to aircraft skins is an LSA
Repairman Maintenance or an FAA certificated A&P technician. Refer to the KAI to
identify individual parts and their corresponding part numbers.
NOTE: Stop drill cracks per AC 43.13. Report any cracks to Van's Aircraft using
the feedback form found at the back of this manual.
NOTE: For more information regarding riveting, metal working, fiberglass, fluid
fittings, priming, painting and more refer to the KAI Chapter 5; Construction
Materials, Processes & Useful Information.
NOTE: See Section 17, Substitute Parts, for rivet substitutions that may simplify
maintenance and repair.
