8.1 Functional checks
Before installation can be considered complete, the following checks need to be made with the Vacuum
Packaging Machine running:
• Press one of the two emergency stop buttons. The Vacuum Packaging Machine must stop immedi-
ately. Release the EMERGENCY STOP button again and the Vacuum Packaging Machine should
not start by itself. To restart the machine, press the RESET button on the screen.
• Also carry out this functional check for the second EMERGENCY STOP button.
• Use the test packaging to check that the Vacuum Packaging Machine is operating properly.
If the checks do not go as stated, check installation against the diagram and repeat the checks. Contact
the manufacturer if you cannot identify the cause of the fault. Once a positive result is obtained for all
the checks, the Vacuum Packaging Machine is ready for operation.
