10.3 Chilled Water Valve— All Chilled-water Models
The chilled-water units come with either a two-way or three-way valve, see Figure 10.3 on the facing
page.
The valve controls the chilled water flow and operates as follows:
• When the valve is fully open (i.e., maximum chilled water flow/cooling), the actuator handle is
set to the full CW position
• When the valve is closed (i.e., no chilled water flow/cooling), the actuator handle is set to the full
CW position
The valve running time is set to the value specified in the control manual.
NOTE: In the event of control system failure, the valve can be manually controlled with the ball valve
handle. It can be used to drive the actuator into any position between 0 and 1.
