2. 3 Precautions During Use
Important!
Do not place or use the EyeRefract in direct sunlight.
Do not expose the EyeRefract to excessive dust or humidity.
Do not place the EyeRefract in a hot air current (e.g., above a heater).
Do not obstruct the ventilation vents.
Protect all equipment from shocks.
Never place the EyeRefract close to the following types of equipment, which can
interfere with the reception of commands from the remote control:
o Halogen lamps (direct or indirect)
o Compact fluorescent lamps (CFL bulbs)
Keep the chart surfaces clean. Protect them from dust and fingerprints, and clean them
as soon as possible if they are dirty.
When you switch the EyeRefract unit off, wait at least 5 seconds before switching it on
again.

The following symbols apply to the EyeRefract:
Important!
Consult the documents supplied with the equipment.
The equipment must be returned to the manufacturer for
scrapping (see Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) Directive).
Compliance with Medical Device Directive 93/42/EC
Federal (U.S.) law restricts this device to sale by or on the
order of a physician.
