Equipment and Installation
Near-Vision Target
The near-vision target is a screen that is built into the EyeRefract unit. When the flap containing
the tablet is folded down, the patient sees the chart monitor. When the flap is up, the patient
sees the near-vision target. The distance between the patient and the near-vision target can be
changed as needed by sliding the open flap forward and backward.
To open the near-vision target:
Pull the flap up.
To close the near-vision target:
Push the flap down.
3. 3 Installation Procedures
In order to ensure smooth functioning and seamless connectivity between the devices of the
system (EyeRefract unit, tablet, chart monitor, and lens meter), the EyeRefract is normally
installed and preliminarily configured by technicians who are trained for this task by the
manufacturer or distributor. Instructions in this section about unpacking the system and
connecting it to a power source and the local network are intended primarily for these
technicians.
