7.20 Checking Outgoing Voltage from Control Panel Capacitor(s)
See Graphic: wc_gr002454
Electric shock hazard. Only qualified personnel should conduct this
test.
Complete this test with the lights disconnected, the machine running,
and the main circuit breaker in the ON position. Test all capacitors or
just the capacitor in question.
7.20.1 Remove the control panel front cover.
7.20.2 Place the individual circuit breaker(s) to the light(s) in the ON position.
7.20.3 Using the AC voltage setting on the multimeter, test for 400V±10%
coming from the control panel capacitor(s) by measuring across the
output terminal (a) of the control panel capacitor and the wires (b) of
the terminal strip.
If 400V±10% is measured, the control panel capacitor(s) is
functioning. Continue troubleshooting by checking the wiring
between the control panel capacitor(s) and the quick-
disconnect(s).
If 400V±10% is not measured, replace the capacitor(s).
