Check battery voltage.

connected?

Check for battery voltage between
terminal 30 of keyswitch and ground.
Reconnect
black wire.
Clean and
tighten connections.
Repair wiring
from terminal 30
to battery.
Are
connections clean
and tight?

Recharge or
replace battery.
Does
battery measure
11.0–13.0V?
No

Check for battery voltage between
terminal AC of keyswitch and ground
when key is placed in the START position.
Engine Does Not Crank
Is battery
voltage measured
between 30 and
ground?

No
Replace keyswitch.
Is battery
voltage measured
between AC and
ground?
Ye s
No
Check for battery voltage
between Or/B wire at starter
solenoid and ground when
key is in START position.
Repair/replace
Or/B wire.

between black wire
and ground?

Checking Keyswitch and Wiring
Check connection of Or/B wire at
starter solenoid. Also check wire
connections at back of keyswitch.
