4 Hardware
4.1 Components
The wallPen E2 consists of the following components:
1. Platform Unit (A)
Base frame with two drive wheels in the rear and two steered wheels in the front.
2. Cabinet Unit (B)
Aluminium frame system with control cabinet. The unit is placed on the platform and
fastened with two screws.
3. Slide Unit (C)
Drive system with transverse boom and park profile for mounting on the platform.
4. 70 cm Base Axis (D)
Aluminium profile with helical gear rack and linear guide. The axis is attached to the
cabinet unit on top of the park profile.
5. 70 Axis Extension (E)
Aluminium profile with helical gear rack and linear guide to extend the vertical axis,
fastened with a centric screw on top of the base axis.
6. Print Head Unit (F)
Compact unit for mounting on the left or right end of the across profile on the slide.
7. Strut /w safety shield (G)
Reinforcing strut to stabilize the vertical axis and protect against injuries caused by
jamming or shearing by the acrylic glass pane.
