Results not Satisfactory
What should I do if my results are not satisfactory?
Questionable print results, banding or other issues can have many causes and reasons.
If you have problems with print quality, you should work through these questions first
and possibly come much closer to a solution:
· Shows the printhead test as described in chapter "Service | Nozzle Test Pattern"
that - at the best - all printhead nozzles are working properly?
· Are all colors optimally adjusted to each other, as described in the chapter
"Service | Aligning the Printheads"?
· Is the floor is flat and without any disturbances?
· Is the surface to be printed at all suitable for UV printing? Is it free of dirt,
grease, fingerprints or handprints? Are there any residues of primer? Was the
same paint used all over the surface?
· Are the running surfaces of the wheels in good condition and without marks or
damages?
· Is the printer aligned absolutely parallel to the wall? Is this parallel alignment
checked regularly during printing and corrected if necessary by manually
correcting the steering?
· Is the distance between the printhead unit and the wall as close as possible
without colliding? Is the wall distance checked regularly during printing and
corrected with the according software function as described in chapter "wallPen
Control | Distance Control distance"?
· Have you tried printing your image in a different vertical resolution? With more
or less passes?
· Are there overlaps in the printing swaths? If yes, correct them by decreasing the
wheel diameter.
· Are there gaps in the printing swaths? If yes, correct them by increasing the
wheel diameter.
· Is the image itself of good quality? Bad input usually results in bad output!
· Did you try printing the same image with different settings in the wallPen
Processor? More/Less intensity? ICC profiles on/off?
· Is the ink heating set well? All heating elements are working? Is ink supply safe?
Any tubes bend or leaking? Too much or too less ink?
· Is the ink expired? Was it stored too cold or too hot?

image to be printed and as precise information as possible about the actual problem
