Wall-to-Wall Printing
In order to print the end face of a wall as completely as possible from the left to the
right corner, it is often necessary to split the image and then print the two partial
pictures one after the other. For this the picture is divided and an area of approx. 10 to
20 cm is printed overlapping. In the left picture the picture is faded out over this line
and in the right picture it is faded in accordingly. With some training and experience,
this transition area can later only be seen by the trained eye.
The basic concept for this is to always print the left image first, then to convert the print
head to the right side after completion, to reposition the printer and then to print the
right image - partly overlapping (fade-in/fade-out) - over the left image and finally to
finish it to the right end.
Wall-to-wall printing therefore requires some preparatory work in the graphics
software. In this example we use Adobe PhotoShop with the image above.
