UV Ink Hazards
· Always wash all affected body parts immediately under running warm water
with sufficient soap if you may have come into contact with ink.
3.3 UV Ink Expiration
Observe the expiration date on the ink container. UV ink is subject to chemical
processes and changes its consistency over time. Do not use the ink after the specified
expiration date. A faulty print image, insufficient curing, color variations or irreparable
damage to the print heads may result.
3.4 UV Curing Light Hazards
Danger from UV radiation
Danger - UV radiation!!!
Risk of severe skin burns
Always wear UV protective goggles in the area of less than 5 meters around
the machine
In case of eye contact seek medical advice immediately
Make sure that nobody is near the machine during operation.
Warnings and barriers should be used to ensure that nobody can look
directly or indirectly into the UV light of the printer at a distance of less than
3 meters without suitable UV protective glasses.
During operation, always keep in mind that the wallPen almost magically attracts
curious people and also animals, who cannot assess the existing danger of injuries due
to UV radiation! Therefore, always shield the printing area over a very large area and
provide effective visual protection in case of doubt!
The wallPen has two extremely powerful LED UV spotlights with a wavelength of 395
nanometers. Never look into the UV lamps during operation and never look into the UV
light reflections on the wall without wearing UV safety glasses. This can result in
irreparable damage to the retina! Always wear special UV safety glasses when
operating the printer. Such UV safety goggles are supplied with every printer. If in
doubt, consult a doctor as soon as possible. Talk to your wallPen partner about which
protective goggles from specialist retailers are recommended.
