Customer Replaceable Units
Customer replaceable units (CRUs) are printer parts that can be replaced without need for technical
service intervention. These parts have longer rated lives than routine maintenance items.
Note: Each customer replaceable unit includes installation instructions.
Customer Replaceable Units for this printer include the following:
 Feed Roller Kit includes the pick and separator roller for any paper tray, including the 1800-sheet
high-capacity feeder.
 Tray 1 Separator Pad
 Document Feeder Roller and Separator Roller Kit
 Scanner with Document Feeder
 650-Sheet Finisher
When to Order Supplies
A warning appears on the control panel when supplies near their replacement time. Verify that you have
replacements on hand. It is important to order supplies when the messages first appear to avoid
interruptions to your printing. An error message appears on the control panel when supplies must
be replaced.
To view information about the remaining life of supplies:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
2. Touch the Supplies tab.
To print supplies information:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
2. Touch the Information Pages tab.
3. Touch Supplies Usage Page.
4. Touch Print.
