You can configure the backlight time as one of the following types:
 Always On: Backlight is turned on permanently.
 1min, 2min, 5min, 10min or 30min: Backlight is turned off when the IP phone is
inactive after a preset period of time (in minutes), but it is automatically turned on if
the status of the IP phone changes or any key is pressed.
Procedure
Backlight can be configured using the configuration files or locally.
Configuration File

Configure the backlight of the
LCD screen.
To configure the backlight via web user interface:
1. Click on Phone->Preference.
2. Select the desired value from the pull-down list of Active Backlight Level.
3. Select the desired value from the pull-down list of Inactive Backlight Level.
