Procedure
User password can be changed using the configuration files or locally.
Configuration File

Change the user password of the
IP phone.

Local
Web User Interface
Change the user password of the
IP phone.
Navigate to:
http://<phoneIPAddress>/cgi-bin/
cgiServer.exx?page=Security.ht

To change the user password via web user interface:
1. Click on Security->Password.
2. Select user from the pull-down list of User Type.
3. Enter a new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
4. Click Confirm to accept the change.
Note
Advanced menu options are restricted to an administrator. You can configure them only
If an administrator changes the user password via web user interface, the Current
Password field is grayed out.
