4.4.5 Range contact
This contact indicates mA1 range status. When mA1 is set to auto range, use this range contact
to check the current range status.
Three types of contacts are available: mA range 1 contact, mA range 2 contact, mA range 3
contact. Each contact functions as shown in the table below.
mA1 range mA Range1 mA Range2 mA Range3
range 1 On O O
range 2 O On O
range 3 O O On
When mA1 is set to auto 2 range, there are two ways to know the range status.
(Example) When one contact is used for auto 2 range
Assign “mA Range2” to S1.
If S1 is O, it is recognized as range 1. If S1 is On, it is recognized as
range 2.
mA1 range S1 (mA Range2)
range 1 O
range 2 On
(Example) When two contacts are used for auto 2 range
Assign “mA Range1” to S1, “mA Range2” to S2.
If S1 is On, it is recognized as range 1. If S2 is On, it is recognized as
range 2.
mA1 range S1 (mA Range1) S2 (mA Range2)
range 1 On O
range 2 O On
Likewise, if mA1 is set to auto 3 range, there are another two ways or three ways to know the
range status.
(Example) When two contacts are used for auto 3 range, assign “mA Range2” to S1, “mA
Range3” to S2.
mA1 range S1 (mA Range2) S2 (mA Range3)
range 1 O O
range 2 On O
range 3 O On
(Example) When three contacts are used for auto 3 range
Assign “mA Range1” to S1, “mA Range2” to S2, “mA Range3” to S3.
If S1 is On, it is recognized as range 1, if S2 is On, it is recognized as
range 2, if S3 is On, it is recognized as range 3.
mA1 range S1 (mA Range1) S2 (mA Range2) S3 (mA Range3)
range 1 On O O
range 2 O On O
range 3 O O On
NOTE
Even when mA1 is set to manual or remote, mA range contact adjusts to the current range status.
4.4.6 Fail
A fail contact is energized when a fail is detected. When a fail is detected, the contact output is
On (S1 / S2 / S3: closed, S4: open). Error is congured in 4.8 Error settings.
