l Process parameter slot
Select sensors “Sensor 1-1” or “Sensor 2-1”. Do not use “Sensor 2-2”.
Fail is output only with the sensors you select. Fail from FLXA402T is always valid.
NOTE
When an internal communication error occurs, a fail is output. However, the error location would
not be identied whether it happened in the rst or second sensor module.
l Setting
Select “Hard Fail only” or “Hard + Soft only”.
Hard Fail only: Contact output reacts only to Failure.
Hard + Soft only: Contact reacts to alarms “Function Check (C)”, “Out of Specication
(S)”, or “Maintenance Required (M)”.
4.4.7 Simulate
This enables you to manually switch a contact on or o for inspection purposes.
On: S1/S2/S3: close, S4: open
O: S1/S2/S3; open, S4; close
You can see the simulated contact settings on the measuring mode. If you move from device
conguration screen to main screen, Hold will be cancelled and will be simulated. If contact
output is simulated, an error (Check Function) occurs.
Apart from “Simulate “settings, MODBUS can simulate contact output without changing the
actual conguration.
The simulated output holds even after power turns o, but simulated output via communication
will be cancelled when you turn down power.
4.4.8 Fail safe
You can set this function to only S4.
When Fail safe function is selected and a fail is detected, the contact turns On (S4: open) and
stays On (S4: open) until you power On/O. At this time “Fale safe occur” is ON.
When Fail safe function is selected and Failure is detected, even if you move the setting to other
than Fail safe, the Fail will stay On until you power On/O.
4.4.9 O
This contact output is not used.
