CHAPTER 40
MAC Address Commands
Use these commands to look at the MAC address table and to configure MAC address
learning. The Switch uses the MAC address table to determine how to forward frames.

mac-aging-time <10-1000000> Sets learned MAC aging time in seconds. C 13
show mac address-table all
[<sort>]
Displays MAC address table. You can sort by MAC address,
VID or port.
sort: MAC, VID, or PORT.

show mac address-table count Displays the total number of MAC addresses in the MAC
address table.

show mac address-table port
<port-list> [<sort>]
Displays the MAC address table for the specified port(s).
Sorted by MAC, Port or VID.
sort: MAC, VID, or PORT.

show mac address-table vlan
<vlan-list> [<sort>]
Displays the MAC address table for the specified VLAN(s).
Optionally, sorted by MAC, Port or VID.

Displays a specified MAC entry. E 3
show mac address-table multicast Displays the multicast MAC addresses learned by the Switch. E 3
mac-flush [<port-num>] Clears the MAC address table. Optionally, removes all
learned MAC address on the specified port.

mac-transfer dynamic-to-filter
mac <mac-addr>
Displays and changes a dynamically learned MAC address
entry into a MAC filtering entry.

interface port-channel <port-
list>
Displays and changes all dynamically learned MAC address
entries on the specified port(s) into MAC filtering entries.
