Default illumination mode selector
▪ – Brightfield or Fluorescence mode
Simplified Scan Progress (for Brightfield scanning only)
Screenshot folder – Set the folder for storing screenshots by clicking Browse. Otherwise the
C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures folder is used by default.
Slide settings
◦ Unload slide after FL grabbing
◦ Slide label anonymity – Slide label area is displayed as a clear white image during
scanning, patient data will not be visible in CaseViewer.
◦ Do not save label to slide – The original label area is not saved to the slide, and will not
be visible in CaseViewer.
◦ Calculate exposure time for barcode grabbing – Three images are recorded for barcode
image creation. Exposure times will be recalculated each time, thus creating prefect light
conditions for barcode reading, so to make sure that barcode identification is successful.
◦ Rotate barcode image by 180° degrees.
◦ Unload slide after planner scan
◦ Enable reloading of magazines with same slide set
◦ Automatic empty slide position detection – Slide positions of the magazines to which
slides are not loaded into will be detected by the software, and slides without including
any marking/etching/label on the label area will be classified as slides to skip. Upon
selecting a position where slide could not be detected, the following messages appears:
NOTE: This feature can be enabled only if no slide is loaded in the stage. By enabling it
once there are slides already been loaded into the microscope since the control software
was started, those slides will not be re-considered as slides to skip.
Scanning History
◦ Hardware log
Scanner hardware operations are contained in this log. To enable this function, first the
database from the following folder must be loaded:
C:\ProgramData\3DHISTECH\SlideScanner\HWLogDataBase
The following motor movements are recorded in the log list:
