These parameters define the firewall chain and their associated action options.

Perform “Action” (see below) on packets pass input firewall chain

Perform “Action” on packets pass output firewall chain
Forward
Reject
Perform “Action” on packets pass forwarding firewall chain
The Action parameters define the operation related to the firewall chain.

The packet gets to continue to the next firewall chain.
Drop
The packet is dropped.
Reject
The packet is dropped and an ICMP packet containing a message of
rejection is sent to the source of the dropped packet.
