3. 3. 3 Replicating the Name Display in the PBX
The PBX will try to assign a name to the CLIP number of an incoming call from the
public network and to display that name on the system terminal (CNIP). A search is
therefore carried out in the PBX card files for a match for the CLIP number. The card
files are searched in the following sequence:
• PISN user list
• Abbreviated dialling list
• Local card files of the system terminals.
A name will be displayed depending on the search result as shown in Fig. 12,
page 44.
CNIP and CONP are supported in the private leased-line network under QSIG. They
are both accepted and do not need to be recreated in the PBX.
