8. 9. 6 Menu and operating concept with AIMS
Hotel features can be configured using AIMS subject to the following require-
ments:
The PBX is connected to a PC on which AIMS has been installed.
The Hotel Manager is activated.
8. 9. 7 Hotel management systems
A PC capable of running functions in the PBX using command language can be
connected to the V.24 interfaces of the basic system (20x5 systems only) or of a Po-
cket Adapter. A special command set is available for communicating with hotel
management systems. These commands can then be used to carry out user-spe-
cific polling operations (e.g. room status) and configurations (e.g. wake-up time).
To be able to send the commands, you need to switch over to a special mode first.
Ascotel® IntelliGate® Net:
In an AIN, connection via a V.24 interface on the mainboard of a satellite is
not possible.
Note:
As of I7.9 the access via Ethernet interface (port 1051) is also possible.
Therfore you need to set up a user account with an authorization profile
in which the interface access Office 45 is enabled.
For more detailed information on the mode, the command set, the connection pos-
sibilities and hotel management systems please go directly to
open.interfaces@aastra.com
Tip:
The User alarm event message can be generated from any internal termi-
nal using the command *77 [nnnn]. The parameter nnnn is optional and
has a value range from 0000 to 9999. Together with a connected applica-
tion various control and messaging functions can be implemented, e.g.
minibar items to be replaced in a hotel room, etc.
