3. Remove the shroud in front of the fan (if any).
4. Remove the screws holding the front cover plate. Lift the cover plate somewhat
to release it.
5. Disconnect the fan wiring.
6. Remove the unit below the fan.
7. Remove the screws of the fan unit.
8. Pull out the fan unit.
9. Install a new fan in reverse order.

Replacing the circuit board compartment fan
Frame D8T supply and frame R8i inverter modules are equipped with a fan blowing
air through the circuit board compartment.
The fan is accessible from the front of the module.
WARNING!
Obey the safety instructions of the drive. If you ignore them, injury or
death, or damage to the equipment can occur. If you are not a qualified
electrical professional, do not do installation, commissioning or
maintenance work.
1. Stop the drive and do the steps in section Electrical safety precautions (page 21)
before you start the work.
2. Open the door of the module cubicle.
3. Remove the two M4×12 (T20) screws which lock the fan holder.
4. Pull the fan holder out of the module.
