Draining, axis 1 gearbox
Use this procedure to drain the gearbox of oil.
The oil must be sucked out from the gearbox. It is recommended to use a pneumatic
oil dispenser to drain oil from the gearbox.

Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
• air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot
working area.

Handling gearbox oil involves several safety
risks. Before proceeding, please read the
safety information in the section WARNING

CAUTION
The gearbox can contain an excess of
pressure that can be hazardous. Open the
oil plug carefully in order to let out the ex-
cess pressure.

cient to take the complete amount of oil.
Put an oil collecting vessel as close as
possible to the draining hole of the gearbox.

Note
Draining is time-consuming.
Elapsed time varies depending on the
temperature of the oil.
Replace oil plug draining quickly with a
nipple (M10x1.5) where a draining hose is
fitted.
