All IEDs shall be configured with the help of the application configuration tool in
PCM600. The IED can be adapted to special applications and special logic can be
developed, such as logic for automatic opening of disconnectors and closing of ring
bays, automatic load transfer from one busbar to the other, and so on.
On request, ABB is available to support the configuration work, either directly or
to do the design checking. Example configurations are given in following sections
as a guide what can be achieved using RER670.
