Plasma Claims for Gel Barrier Tubes
For assays that allow plasma as a suitable specimen, the
following statement appears in the package insert: “Use
plasma collected by standard venipuncture techniques in glass
or plastic tubes without gel barrier”.
Clarification—plasma tubes with a gel barrier were not tested;
therefore, no claim is made for these types of tubes.
