4.3. Operation with an External Antenna Tuner
At antenna SWR over 1.5:1, it is advisable you use an external tuner.
The ACOM 04AT Remote Automatic Antenna Tuner and Switch (see Figure 4-1 | ACOM 04AT tuner mounting
possibilities) and ACOM 06AT Automatic Antenna Tuner and Switch (see Figure 4-2 | ACOM 06AT automatic
antenna tuner and switch (shown near 700S amplifier)) are designed to work with our transistor (solid state)
amplifier series, including the ACOM 700S.
ACOM 04AT and 06AT tune antennas having SWR up to 3:1 automatically, thus providing an optimum load for
the amplifier within 5 seconds with improved harmonic suppression at that. The four-way antenna switch is
controlled automatically or from the amplifier front panel.
The ACOM 04AT can be installed both in the shack and in a remote location (even out in the open, close to
the antennas). It can be distanced up to 100 m (330 ft) from the amplifier, using a single coaxial cable.

using a single coaxial cable.
