Nowadays, most computers do not have a built-in RS-232 interface (port). But all computers
have a couple of USB ports. So, if this is your case you have to use a "USB to RS-232"
interface converter.
The ACOM recommends using "USB to RS-232" converters produced by FTDI
(www.ftdichip.com) or based on an FTDI chip.
